A night in a Corn Maze is not exactly Cracked Corn-Riverside Tree Farm Charlestown RI 02813

Adventures are part of good real estate life so a night at the Charlestown RI 02813  Opening to a corn mazeRiverside Tree Farm corn maze did not turn out to be a cracked corn event.  Now the outcome has nothing to do with this well established farm and its offerings but more to do with a maze challenged realtor who should have stayed home!  This Riverside Tree Farm has over 65 acres and is a pesticide free farm that has many offerings besides this crazy corn maze. It is the largest corn maze, cracked corn or otherwise, in Rhode Island.

Never had I had a corn maze adventure and with flashlight in hand how could I go wrong...well my clients' kids thought it would be very funny to get me in the middle and then desert me.. so I was somewhat mentally challenged to get out and it was spooky.  Where was my GPS when I needed it...no good realtor is anywhere without it right?!

ghostly pumpkins

One thing that kept me going was my freezing feet (no socks!) and that survival drive to get out of the corn maze to some hot mulled cider and heat was instinctive.  Clues along the maze's way did help and especially when my client sent one of the kids back to find me!!  Ghoulish feelings did abound and ghostly presences did hover above on this night.

Honestly, this is a GREAT place to bring the kids and it's just off Route 95 at exit 1 in RI...spend some time this fall at this Charlestown farm, Riverside Tree Farm in Charlestown RI 02813...next time I will bring my GPS with me.

Barbara...i was trying to be a great sport & felt like a rat on a wheel, i think...i could breathe so that helped.

Gabrielle..it took me a good 40+ minutes to be somewhat hand held to get out finally but you know it was a fun time with my clients...

I've never been through a corn-maze myself, but I think I would also go a little nuts if I were in there by myself.  I would probably add another route to the maze in a frantic desire to 'GET OUT'!

Joan..never say never & it was an experience...all in the line of fun and duty..the good husk smell was something special though...best

Gives me shivers just to think about this! I can't believe you did this at night! The only maze I've ever tried was at Davis' Farmland in Sterling, MA. As I mentioned in a comment to someone else last week, after 2+ hours we had to ask to be let out! Still shivering thinking about being trapped in one at night! Glad you made it home sane and sound! :)

Nina...your experience sounds awful & that would have done me in ...i have to say that they had clues all around but the kids leading me out was my best bet...some things should never be tried i guess...best to you

My mother-in-law called us today to say that she had been in a corn maze for 30 minutes and didn't feel she was even close to getting out. (She was right!) 15 minutes later she called us to say she had finally escaped and warned us if we go, make sure we hit the bathrooms first. (LOL)

Todd...that's funny & alot of people are getting stuck in them..savvy kids by your side make the difference i'm sure...thanks
