Current market conditions offer buyers some of the greatest buying opportunities to acquire an architecturally significant home in Palm Springs.

Like the rest of the country, property prices in Palm Springs (California) have dropped substantially since 2007 - however, prices at Canyon View Estates have dropped significantly less than the rest of the local market.

I believe the reason for this is the fact that buyers need to have at least a 20% down payment to purchase in this development, and all loans have to be traditional 30-year loans with no ARMs, interest only or other exotic types of finance.

Buyers are able to purchase 2 or 3 Bed homes from the mid $200,000's - $400,000.

LOVE THIS!  You can't find mid-century modern any better than Palm Springs.  Sacramento has a handful of Eichlers and Streng Bros. but nothing like PS.  Whenever we visit, my wife and I drive around and lust after these.  Thanks for sharing with us!

Maurice Minno Palm Springs RealtorSpot On Stewart.  The Palm Springs Homes market is STILL very much a Buyers Market with favorable prices.  Prices are increasing especially in the under $500k category.  Also, Palm Sprigns Home inventories at present in certain categories are reduced by as much as 40% vs. year ago levels. 

There are many Mid-Century Modern neighborhoods in Palm Springs and Canyon View Estates is only one example.  ...and there are Mid-Century Modern Style Homes on Fee Simple Land.  Not all of my Buyers favor homes on Leased Land, (Canyon View Estates is on Leased Land), so there are options for those Buyers who only want fee simple property.

YES, Palm Springs Homes and Mid-Century Modern designed properties remain a great opportunity.
