Lola - you have certainly made some convincing points for potentials sellers to be aware of to maximize their selling opportunity. With those stats, one needs every advantage, Certainly using a REALTOR such as yourself who knows the market and takes advantage of all the tools available to provide the most accurate data is essential.

Hi Jeff, we're in a very challenging market...one which actually seems to have bottomed out for the most part. We hope that last month's stats don't become a trend. However, we are thankful that our company recorded sales during this period and new buyers are still coming into the market. I've chosen to focus on being in the 10% who are successful! :)
Lola, your stataement "In today's market where less than 10% of homes listed for Sale are Closing in any given month, it's important to improve your odds by understanding the issues and specific dynamics in your neighborhood."....and the best way is to work with a good Realtor with the right tools and the experience.
Lola, it has been hard these past few months to be the bearer of such bad news. It is even harder to sometimes still have to ask for price reductions. But, REALTORS do see the whole market and can show with statistics why a price needs to be where it is.

Lola...your points are great and well presented and my area is much slower selling than yours. Sellers are still looking for that once in a lifetime buyer who will pay what they want to sell their home for...if they only would listen to the data a bit...best to you
Rebecca, I think that today, it's not just about the information/data...one has to understand what it means. That's where experience and the ability to access the right analysis and tools can be of real benefit. Thanks for stopping to read and comment.
Hi Ginny...our price points are probably lower than yours as well. Our inventory levels have gone done and now hover around 8-9 months supply. What are the inventory levels in your area?
