Hey, I like this idea, but how did you get their addresses?
Great idea. I'm sure that they will appreciate it. Some places like Lowes and Home Depot will give active duty and retirees a 10% discount IF they show their ID card to the cashier. Any token of appreciation helps to affirm our decision to serve our country.
That's mighty generous. I wrote a blog about "Paying It Forward" the other day. I just love these stories. :D Gail
Dave:
What a great story--it certainly does put a lot of things in perspective for me, Also, such a good idea about extending your the mum and sugar pumpkin offer to your local vets. I am sure they will appreciate it.
Dave,
What a wonderful gesture for our vets.
You've just made a deposit to your account at the Bank of Kharma!
Dave - These vets definitely deserve our appreciation for their service to us and our country. How special of you to show your appreciation. Love the postcard!
Ted, Veterans get $250 off their local property taxes in NJ (senior citizens get $500 off). I can look up this catigory in our MLS under 'deduction type'.... so that's my mailing list/lablels...
I love the idea of supporting vets in any way we can. I think that was an awesome idea. Just one question - what is a sugar pumpkin?
Joyce, It's a small pumpkin! Not sure why they call it that...
I have no idea what a sugar pumpkin is, but I’ll happily take one if I can get that mum!
Dave, This is such a cool idea, please let us know how it turns out.
Elizabeth, It's turning out very cool/great! Lot's of letters of appreciation... I'm working on the sequel blog to show you...
