Don't forget the thoughtfulness of "Thank You!"

After reading Charles Buell's blog challenge, Proof that I can blog about anything (aka: Proof that I can run a CONTEST about anything), I took a look under my kitchen sink.

Ever since our kids were little, we decided not to keep cleaners, etc. down low where the kids could potentially be harmed, so there was none of that.

What I found was garbage bags, used paper towel rolls, Swiffer brushes and quite the collection of flower vases.

                               whats under your sink

This collection is from flowers that I have given to my wife. She is saving the vases to use later.

Flowers can be sent for various reasons, but it reminded me of taking the time, action and energy to follow up for your gratefulness, whether it be to a client, a friend or a spouse, saying "Thank you" with a gift of appreciation can make a world of difference.

So, whenever I sell a home in Cherry Lane Meadows in Nampa, Idaho, I am on the phone to the flower shop to send them a personal "Thank you" for their thoughtfulness and their business.

Whatever your business is, Don't forget the thoughtfulness of "Thank You!"

Don, Very nicely stated, a THANK YOU goes a long way to show appreciation! Flowers bring joy to those who receive them.

Hi Don, A thank you does go a long way. In fact, I think I will bring some cards with me to my open house and write some thank you and thinking of you notes during the slow times. I know I appreciate when someone sends me a note or gift! Good post Don!

Cindy, thanks! That's a great idea to do during an open house! There's not much more powerful than a "Thank you!"

Sending out Thank You notes is something I always used to but have gotten out of the practice through yesterday.  Back doing it today!  Thanks for the reminder.

Karen, you're too kind! I probably should send her more soon. It's been a little while, judging from the dust on those vases!
