In the ocean of AR members I pay special attention to fellow Floridians. Christine Bohn is one of them, a fellow broker/associate from Gainesville, less than a 2-hour drive from Daytona Beach. She writes good blogs, and very meaningful comments way beyond the required 10 words.
Last night I saw that Christine was less than 200 points from reaching 200,000 AR points. And interestingly enough she had 399 blog posts under her belt.
This was a no brainer. Just write about the excitement of reaching $200,000 with a 400th blog post. So, I did not wait for it to happen in the next minute and sent Christine a private e-mail with congratulations on approaching reaching 200,000 points and writing the 400th blog post.
I checked today, and yes, she had over 200,000 points, but she still had 399 blog posts. How come? And then I saw the email from Christine, where she thanked me for noticing it…
She said “My blogging has brought me so much business. My time here on AR has been a priceless investment. Thanks for noticing my points and my # of blogs. I'm almost at that landmark rollover to 200,000 - but didn't want to cheat with the silly post.”
I put the last words in bold, because they show Christine’s character. She did not want to write a silly blog for the sake of making a splash. And this is in the world of splashes on much lesser occasions happening all over AR…
Are you kidding us? You do not want to write a silly post? There are so many who don’t mind coming across as total schmucks….
Good for you… it is quite noble… you reminded me that higher standards are not what is mandated by COE, but what is you your heart...
Christine, congratulations on reaching 200,000 earned points, and we will wait for your 400th blog post. Even if it would be silly, which it wouldn’t, and we already know that.
Thank you
