Please Help Save the Squirrel Monkeys!!

PLEASE HELP...READ BELOW AND TAKE ACTION NOW TO HELP THE SQUIRREL MONKEYS!

Kristin,

PETA has received government documents showing that in August 2010, the Brookhaven National Laboratory—where the monkeys in the NASA experiment would be blasted with radiation—made a preliminary decision about whether or not to move forward with this cruel and archaic project.

Unfortunately, before the government sent these documents to us, it blacked out the content of Brookhaven's decision, so we don't know if plans to hurt these animals are moving forward or not. However, NASA recently told a reporter that this misguided project might not happen, so underneath all that black might be the announcement that these monkeys will be spared.

Please help us find out what was decided by taking a moment to call the Department of Energy (DOE) at 202-586-5000 and politely ask if plans are still underway to blast squirrel monkeys with radiation at Brookhaven.

**** I just called and was asked to email them instead so that they have record of it. The email address I was given is "the.secretary@hq.doe.gov". PLEASE HELP US HELP THEM! It only takes seconds to do, and really means alot! ****

I used to live on Long Island, where the Brookhaven National Lab is located. I wasn't close to that town, but I did see protesters out there on a regular basis. Some scary stuff must be taking place behind those walls.

Tom, I have no idea either...just plain wrong....there is simply no need for horrific unethical animal testing today with all the modern simulators.....I wish people would just get educated!
