Historic The Dalles Days is coming Sept 14-15 & 16 The Dalles was incorporated June 26, 1857 and will be celebrating its 150 year sesquintennial. Activities will occur at historic venues across town.

| | | Rock Fort Presentation Presented by the staff of the Discovery Center at the site of the Lewis & Clark Expedition camp. First street (west of the Union Street overpass) |

 | | The Dalles Art Center Free to the public. This will be an Open house celebrating the 40th anniversary. Kids' art activities, artist demos, live music, 40-year history display. A guest gallery will showcase invitational photography with exhibits featuring three local photographers Blue Ackerman, Jacqueline Moreau and Richard Hallman. Take a walk through the Historic District in downtown The Dalles. Brochures of the Historic Sites are available at the Visitors Center and many downtown shops. While downtown also take time to study the many murals and learn of The Dalles colorful history.
