Don't just brand your burger, proof I can blog about anything (better late than never)

Well I missed the actual contest on Blogging About Anything, because I just saw it. I decided that I liked it enough to do it anyway even without the points credit. Basically Charles Buell wanted us to blog about something under our kitchen sink to prove that we could write about anything.

I ventured underneath my kitchen cabinet and came across a hamburger brander that my husband had gotten for his birthday a few years back. I am sure that either Missy Caulk has one in her house or would really like to add it to her Michigan collection.

Brand yourself

Branding is important to any real estate agent out there. With so much competition it is often hard to set yourself apart from everyone else with a license.

A lot of people think that branding is the same thing as marketing. Marketing is a fast message for now but branding is actually a much slower process that builds over a long period of time. When you are branding yourself or your business you must be constant and the same in your message. Even in the worst market, if you have done a good job of branding then John Q Public already knows that you are the best and will do the job that you say you will.  If you do brand yourself right, in the long run you spend less money on marketing. You must decide "Who you are" and "What you are going to be". Choose a slogan or slogo that will tell others who you are. Decide on something and be consistent with that brand.

Who are you? What is your brand? Are you consistent in your branding or are you constantly marketing?

Lisa,

You are so right about branding not being the marketing of the moment.  I also liked your title!

Hmmm... is there a company that makes those with all 50 states on them?  Interesting.

Yes, I believe you can blog anything.

Very catchy headline, but excellent information especially for new agents like myself.  When getting started branding is so important.  The hard part is making the decision of who and what.

Kelly,

WELCOME. Congrats on being a new agent. It is hard to market yourself if you don't actually stay consistent and brand yourself.
