Raise Fraud Awareness

By
Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker United, Realtors

As we get deeper and deeper into the mortgage crisis the opportunity is there for scam artists and con "men" to come out.  Lawyers who were disbarred or have expired licenses calling people they find delinquent in the tax records, unsolicited phone calls or any offer that may sound too good to be true is probably just that.  Many states and cities including mine, Charleston, South Carolina offer home ownership counseling.  Those of us on the front lines need to make our clients and contacts aware and spread the word.  People needing help are desperate and will sometimes take any lifeline thrown to them.  Let's get the word out.  Be careful who you trust.

Hi Franne~  It is a sad state of affairs when the con artist's strike their prey!  How do these people live with themselves?  They couldn't make an honest living and love being crooked and taking advantage of those that are desperate or don't know any better!
