How do you know when it's a good day? It's A Good Day To Be Me!

Celebration

Today is a good day. in fact.... I had a great month and Septemberis starting out on fire. I have closed four deals in the month of August and I listed a house on the 30th that went under contract today. I signed a builder and have about a dozen good deals in the works and tomorrow is my birthday.

The point of this post you ask? Am I bragging? No, I just refuse to listen to the "Doom & Gloom" real estate crash media. I believe that a positive attitude and hard work is all it takes to succeed in the real estate business. There will always be a reason for people to buy and to sell. People will get married, people will get divorced, people will have babies, people will get promoted, people will get transferred and many more reasons that people move. None of these things will stop happening because it is a buyer's market. It is my job to go out there everyday and to be the agent getting those deals.

It really is all about attitude. Its a choice you make each day when you look in the mirror. As much as I would like for my good day to inspire you to choose what kind of day you will have tomorrow, that's not how it works. As my wife pointed out, the important thing is to live, to continue letting go of the old and embracing the new. The moment you accept the beauty of change and find new opportunities, you realize there is nothing to be lost and everything to gain. A mind bender don't you think?

I choose to just be happy and have a "No what if's" attitude. I am fortunate to be alive, blessed to have the opportunity to do what I love and to be with the one's I love. How does it really get any better?

What is a perfect day for you?

It's beneficial to talk about what makes a great day, but it's also good to talk about how to make each day good.

Brad -- thanks for an uplifting and inspiring post.  My husband just returned home after being away most of the last 3 years. We are making every moment count!  The weekend has been great -- and the weather couldn't be any nicer!  Hope you have an enjoyable labor day.

There are a lot of blogs out there about being positive in this crazy market.  Thanks for the uplifting post.  We all need to be reminded to stay positive.

Brad,

Nice post. I believe every day is good. Bad things sometimes happen to good people, but that does not negate the goodness of the day. When life gives you lemons, you learn to make lemonade. Thanks,   Fran

Brad.......Glad you put this out.  I am having my best year ever, but it is kind of "strange" to talk about it with anyone as all you hear are the negative comments about the market.

What makes my day WONDERFUL is to read all the positive posts that come out in one day here. Thanks for your uplifting post...and there is no doom and gloom for me. My last couple of years were very stressful and way too busy. I wanted more out of life (My life) so what makes me happy is the year I've been having....all referrals and one a month and time for me and time with my husband and doggie, and now that my kids are both back in Hawaii...time with them..... and time to blog. I love my simple life. I'm happy. Thank you very much for this uplifting post.

EXCELLENT Brad!  A positive attitude is 9/10ths for making it in this profession! Negativity kills everything! Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday, Brad!

Every morning as I drive away from the house I comment to myself, It's another wonderful day in Paradise (referring to where I live). Often on the way to the gym I'll go through the many good things in my life. Recently  Amy suggested that each of the four of us on the team put on our team intranet site something each day that we're thankful for. Her intention was to accumulate these to make an article on our website about the area. But in addition to a thankful about the area, we often post a thankful about our life.

Our current mayor, Rick Baker, is know for always saying, "It's another great day in St. Petersburg." Everyone knows that's how he'll start every speech and begin every greeting.

Way to go Brad! I love your positive attitude. We all get down sometime but you are quite right about NOT getting sucked into the DOOM and GLOOM attitude. If we keep working as you have results will follow! Congratulations to you and Happy Labor Day!

Great post Brad, We are how we think. The more you think about the good things, the more good things come into your life. People who think they can do things are right and the ones that think they can't are also right. It is all about the belief and passion. Happy Birthday!!!!

You are so correct !! Its about how you make your day end ( closed sales and new business)!! Is it a good day when you are doing business, absolutely !!! It is our job to make sure everyday is a good day and forget what the TV analyst are saying !! They are not out doing what we do best and that is getting results. You make of your business what you want to make of it. If you have time to watch TV than you need to get busy and do some cold calling !!

Hi Brad,

Thanks for your post. I am just about to send a letter to my Sphere and it sounds so much like what you posted. Thanks for the uplifting message. I plan to stick with this business and make a success of it!
