Seattle Runners: Two Haloween Events

In This Post

Runners of all ages invited to some fun.

Halloween is fast approaching and there are events on the agenda for Seattle area runners. One is October 31st at 9:00 AM. This is sponsored by the Seattle Parks Department at Magnuson Park and consists of 2 divisions for kids plus 3 divisions for adults. There is a 200 meter run for kids ages 3-5 and a 400 meter run for kids ages 6-12. The races are held north of the boat ramp. You can preregister at the Magnuson Community Center or sign up race day on site. There will be food and prizes and costumed runners are anticipated.  Also on the docket are 5, 10 and 15 K runs/walks for others. Information is here:  Magnuson Fun Run.

Another race is being held at Lower Woodland Park in Green Lake on October 31st. The 1 K kids dash is at 9:00 AM and the 5 K race for all others will be at 9:30. Proceeds go to the Daniel Bagley Elementary School for the Daniel Bagley Green Fields Project. You can register at Jock and Jill prior to the 29th or you can register at the check in site: 5900 Green Lake Drive.

Bagley Benifit Halloween Run

Get out and support these good causes, teach your kids early the value of frequent exercise and have a pumpkinful of fun for the whole family. I hope to see you there. Look for me. I'll be dressed up as "Gordy."

Fund raisers have really changed over the years. It seems that physical activities are all the rage now...

Phil - Run early, run often.

Paul - I'm hoping physical activity benefits overtake the auction method. The three day walk for the CURE is a great one.
