Everything you've ever dreamed about is right outside your comfort zone.....

Everything you've ever dreamed about is right outside your comfort zone.....

Just wanted to share this with all my peeps.

So many times in our lives, present party included, we find ourselves reflecting on how we're not exactly where we thought we would be or dreamed we would be in our lives.

Why is that?

Well, what I am starting to learn is that the true reason is that we need to step outide our comfort zone in order to get there.

After all, if getting to where we wanted to be were that easy, then EVERYONE would be pushing that same easy button, don't you think?

I consider all of my ActiveRain peeps my friends.  YES!, even those of you who have different political opinions.

I honestly love you all and wish the best for you all and your families.

Do the Ralphster one small favor this week.

Do something scary.  Step outside your comfort zone into that scary, dark territory that you know somehow leads to your dreams.

Do one endeavor that you may think to be embarrasing or apprehenisve to you, but that you know deep down is a step towards getting to where you really want to be.

And do it knowing that I've got your back.

Do it, and tell me all about it.

Whether it be cold-calling even though you are so frightened of that, door-knocking even though you are so frightend of that (it's a good idea to door-knock WITH someone by the way), spending those hard-earned dollars on coaching to take you to the next level, approaching someone you have had an estranged relationship with and make a gesture towards mending the relationship, booking that appointment with Jenny Craig to finally get the weight off, or just saying the words "I love you" to someone you have wanted to say it to for a long time.

Come back here and report to me and the rest of your family here on AR and tell us about it.

We've all got your back.....

I was more aggressive with following up with leads this week.  This is outside my comfort zone.  I thought that if I talk to them and make my point then if they like me to represent them they will call.  Of course I follow up once or twice but usually that's all.  How do you know how many time to call or email a lead?  I tend to think that if I keep calling then I will push clients away.   So I'm turning a new leaf and going to be more aggressive or should I say persistent...

I'm in the process of stepping way outside of my comfort zone with the help of a few great people. I'll be sharing the details over the next few months on AR as we get the details together.

Ralph, you are right. Two weeks ago I did door knocking for the first time. It was an frightening and amazing experience. We all need to step outside our confort zone from time to time.

Now I just need to get over my reluctance to chase people at the mall and ask if they want to buy or sell a house. :O) Just kidding!

OK... have to think on this one a bit.  There is a challenge I need to take on. Not comfortable and not enough time either one to do it right..

You have been doing some serious thinking...   I believe there's a law against that!

My latest venture outside of those comfy boundaries was accepting an invitation to join forces with an admirable group of professionals who want to share business ideas and resources.  They opened the door, and I knew I had to step inside.  I'm extremely uncomfortable (intimidated would be the word) but am determined to provide value to these folks.  Whew!

Hi Ralph. I'm going outside my comfort zone and presenting to my BNI group in the morning - not about buying or selling RE, but about what we can do to Pay It Forward! I'll let you know how it goes!

Not sure, if I am ready to spend more on advertising - my budget for the year is over, but with good results I have seen from my current campaign on Zillow, I am planning to add couple of zip codes and....yes, Realtor.com banner ads and..to top it off, QuickConnect on Trulia!

(I recently read a post on making money on Internet and last couple of months, I am on AR, has given me a great confidence on how to 'handle' these leads - so despite there is no money 'generated' from Internet marketing, as yet, I am going outside my comfort zone and invest in Internet Marketing.)

Kathy, that is really oustanding!

Kathryn,  you just learn those ropes.  Everyone else was at the same place you were at some point and they plowed through.

Luna,  excellent!

Kathleen, that is such proof that opening the door gives the opportunity for love to come in, but you just have to get past the inhibitions to just open it....

I've been living way outside my comfort zone for too long now.  Perhaps something I do here will lead me back to that warm and fuzzy place that feels like home.  Times they are a challenging.

Hi Ralph, this is such great advice.  I try to do this from time to time but haven't done it in a while.  I think it's time to do it again!

What an awesome challenge.  I KNOW good things happen when I step outside my comfort zone.  (I'm here after all.)  Like so many of your readers, I need to figure out what my next step is going to be.  I'll be back to let you know.

OK, I downloaded Firefox today (which I was a bit reluctant to do) because I want to use Scribefire (which is also a bit scary to me).  So that combination of things will be outside my comfort zone.  (Maybe it doesn't seem like a big deal, but it is to me!)
