Childrens Chirstmas

Saturday, December 4, 2010 - 11:00 a.m. Rain or Shine!

Oh what an event!  I have gone to this several years now, it is sooo fun.  We arrive early with our coffee and hot chocolate, line up the street and wait for the parade to start.  Children from around the area, bands playing and local groups march down the street.

The Los Gatos Children's/Holidays entry deadline is Friday, October 15, 2010 by 4:00 P.M.

If interested in the for forms needed, I added the links here.

-General Entry Packet-

-Marching Bands Entry Packet-

-Equestrian Entry Packet-

This wonderful parade begins at the corner of Almendra Ave. and North Santa Cruz Ave., proceeding south along Santa Cruz Ave. to Main St., east on Main Street, ending at Church St.  It will start at 11am, and the awards ceremony will take place at Los Gatos High School on the front lawn.  They will also be published in the LG Weekly Times.

If you have further questions, please contact: michelle@lgsrecreation.org; 408-354-8700 ext. 226.

The event is sponsored by the Los Gatos Lions Club & LGS Recreation, in cooperation with the Town of Los Gatos and Los Gatos High School.

Chirs,  This sounds like so much fun.  I love the holidays --- especially the opportunity to watch all of the children.

This sounds like a good time.  My first thought was - Boy, I bet it's cold out for a parade.  Then I remembered you are in CA!

Chris, this is an excellent local post to help neighbors remember to enter the parade by the deadline. We have Christmas parades/events in local towns and neighborhoods and they are so much fun! Eagle Harbor has a golf cart/float parade, Green Cove Springs has a parade and Festival and Avondale has an evening event. And that's not all!
