At 10 AM at Marciano Stadium on Thanksgiving morning the Boxers of Brockton High School will host the Trojans of Bridgewater-Raynham.  Both schools are perenial football powers of Eastern Massachusetts Division I. While the Boxers have been there forever, B-R has elevated its program in recent years.  Both schools play bruising schedules and the Turkey Day clash often determines which team will advance to the Super Bowl tounament.

To the fans the game is more of an event.  Many Bridgewater and Raynham families have ties to the city of Brockton, making it an opportunity to see old friends and faces.  For those who may not know about Halftime festivities, you are in for a treat.  The Brockton Boxer Marching Band is about as good as you will see this side of the Alabama Crimson Tide.

As for the game itself, the Trojans are playing well but Brockton is loaded with talent and should be considered the favorites, as its only blemish is a double OT loss to Xaverian Brothers HS.  It should be remembered that these are kids and they play on emotion, and for most it will be their last game so both sides will give it all they've got, and it only costs $10.  It's all good.
