Treasure Coast Mutt March Halpatiokee Park Stuart Florida Oct. 30
Did you know that October is "Adopt a Shelter Dog"? Each year, the Humane Society on the Treasure Coast holds a Mutt March to raise funds to find homes for animals that have been given up or abandoned.
The 2010 Mutt March will take place on Saturday, Oct. 30, from 8:00AM until 12:00 noon at Halpatiokee Park in Stuart, Florida. Registration for this event is $10 for Adults, children 12 and under are free. Each registrant will receive a free HSTC T-shirt. T-shirts will also be on sale for $10. Pledges raised from the fundraising walk, supports the HSTC's animals.
The former Mrs. Florida, Lindsey Berman will emcee the event and serve as one of the judges for the canine costume contest. The "Flea-Less Market" will feature local businesses and kids' activities, including face painting and balloon making and there will be a pet photo booth. Get your free IHOP Breakfast!
Additionally, donations can be made online. Go to http://www.hstc1.org. Everyone who registers for the Mutt March will receive a free appetizer card to the Hurricane Grill & Wings as well as a $5 discount coupon to
the online Petango store upon event check-in.
The HSTC is also seeking businesses to sponsor the Mutt March. Last year's event raised more than $47,000.
