Following up on our previous post regarding the new QR code feature for RealBird listings, we are pleased to let you know that we have also added a utility that allows you to buy custom QR stickers directly from the RealBird listing management page.

You can buy 6 pcs of 3" stickers with your RealBird listing's QR code and the property address on it for only $4.95 (plus tax and S & H). The stickers are automatically created for your listing and fulfillment is via Zazzle.com

This is a great feature.  I enjoyed the webinar on them as well.  I am putting together my game plan on incorporating these into my marketing.  Real Bird is ahead of the curve yet again!

Good question about the faxed QR code. We'll run some tests. What would be the scenario using faxed QR codes?

Some potential buyers ask to have the listing faxed.  If it can be faxed, perhaps it can be copied on a regular copier.

Hi Zoltan - The QR code stickers are a great new product for RealBird.

Leolinda - QR codes that are scanned or reproduced at 100% (i.e. not downsized or upsized) should be readable.  Just make sure that the actual image remains at its native size.  Of course if the quality of toner on the fax machine is lousy, it may not work, but outside of that they work great in when printed, copied or anything else for that matter.:-)  Hope this helps.

Zoltan, loving this...

Couple questions: are these for our outside signs?  Are they weather proof? Can they be scanned from afar (say from a car)???

I hope so - love the ease - and love the price even better!!!  THANKS!

Lee & Pamela - Just talked to our vendor partner and the 3" round sticker is not weatherproof unfortunately, so you'll have to make sure it's pasted in covered area. But we are adding new sticker types to the system as we speak, that will be weatherproof (and priced equally great:). We'll announce it as soon as it's available. Many more QR features are on their way.

Thanks

Scanning from afar depends on the size of the QR sticker and of course the phone camera used. The current RealBird QR codes are not big enough for this, but we are working on more solutions. In Japan for example, they have QR code billboards and those are definitely designed to be scanned from afar. Also large size could be used as a dedicated street sign. More to come ...

Just received our own order to see the quality and it's amazing. 6 large stickers (3"), scans with my iPhone instantly with no problem and best of all, it looks weather proof. I placed the sticker under water for half an hour and the QR code print remained intact. I think it is worth the $4.95+S/H easily :)

I just signed up for the search mapping product, but I can't figure out how to add that widget to my outside blog.  Do you know how?  Thanks, Marie

Very nice initiative.

Question - if our corporate has an account, who's contact info ends up on the listing? Yep, I ran into this on a listing of mine, which I thought this was a great tool for, only when I scanned the code (I was putting it on the flyers), it pulled me back to the listing, but under corporate, and the lead call went to the corporate internet lead dept...

Hmm... yes, I am a bit careful with generated codes now and making sure they go where I want them to go...

Other than that, I think this is the way to go!

Hi,

We are glad to hear that you like the QR code/mobile RealBird features.

The contact information is the same that is set in your RealBird Profile page. If the particular account under which the listing is published and the QR code is generated for is your corporate account, than the inquiries will go to that contact info. You can of course change that info in the RealBird member area or set up a separate account for yourself and publish the particular listing under that. In short, the mobile website via the QR code shows the same contact info as the regular RealBird single property website.

I hope this help

Thanks and happy new year !
