Looking for Pumpkin Patches in Orting?
This past weekend we went to Scholz Farms, and had a blast. Plenty to do for the kids with a friendly staff.
Sasaki Farms – Pick-your-own Pumpkins, pumpkin patch 15308 – 188th Street E., Orting, WA. Phone: 360-893-5973. U-pick pumpkin patch. Open August 1 to October 31, noon to dusk. At stop light in Orting, turn right on Calistoga Street Farm stand is 1-three quarters miles on right side.
Scholz Farms and Gardens, Pumpkin Palace – pumpkins, pumpkin patch, corn maze, farm animals 12920 State Route 162 E, Orting, WA. Phone: 253-848-7604. Email: scholzfarm@msn.com. Open: Wednesday – Sunday from 9 am to 6 pm in April and May; then daily from 9 am to 6 pm, June to October. Directions: From Puyallup, east on Pioneer to Hwy 162 , turn right down 162 for 3 miles, past 128th St. on right. Fresh seasonal produce and flowers, strawberries (fresh and frozen), other berries. Gift shop. Annual Giant Pumpkin Competition. Plus: a free corn maze, farm animals, pumpkins, painted pumpkins, gourds, squash, and a variety of other fall crops. During October, farm tours by reservation.
