The Seattle Art Museum featuring 150 works by Picasso from the Musée National Picasso of Paris. October 8, 2010 to January 17, 2011.
This is one local event that you don't want to miss. The Musée National Picasso of Paris chose Seattle as the city to open the United States tour of this exhibition. There are over 150 works that span Pablo Picasso's 80 year career as one of the worlds most influential artists.
Included in the exhibit are paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints and photographs. These are works from Picasso's personal collection.
You'll need to buy your tickets online and register for a day and time you wish to attend. Although the tickets are good for all day, in order to manage the crowds expected you will need to arrive within 20 minutes of the time you select when registering.
Here is one of the many works you'll be able to enjoy. This painting is from 1922 and entitled Two Women Running on the Beach (The Race).
The Seattle Art Museum is located at 1300 First Avenue, Seattle, WA 98101It's on a couple of blocks from Pike Place Market. While enjoying your visit to Seattle, take a couple of days to enjoy this area. And if you are a resident of anywhere in the Puget Sound, making a trip to see this exhibit is well worth the time and effort.
