In memory of my SWEET Dogs * Salsa and Cuervo *

Property Manager with Gibson Management Group, Ltd.

There have been some posts recently about loosing much-loved pets.  I had my 2nd and 3rd Springer Spaniels * Salsa and Cuervo * cremated and last week I had two dogwood trees * a white and a pink * planted where we had a tree removed and their ashes were mixed in the holes for the new trees.

My GREAT yard crew * Charlottesville Yard and Mowing Service * did the work on a rainy morning and they indicate they are often asked to bury pets.  I have managed several country properties with "pet cemetaries" at them with cats, dogs, horses, parrot and pet-rats.

My little girl * CICI * is checking out their work!

Sorry for the loss of your little ones Wallace. But it's good you have Cici around. Cool names by the way...would be very popular here in Texas.

What a beautiful idea.  It's always hard to lose a pet.  They are irreplaceable, but I love your idea of paying them tribute.

Wallace - I am very sorry for your loss - I still haven't gotten over my loss of "Peaches" and that was over eight years ago - thank God for my Glory and Elijah to give me comfort - how did both pass on the same day???

Thank God you have that beautiful CiCi to keep you comfy and comfort you in you in your loss -

I am praying for you - God Bless

Wallace, what a beautiful idea.  So sorry to hear about the loss of your companions, though.  I do love those names also.  Two of my very favorite things.

Losing a beloved pet is always hard.  Glad they found a beautiful resting place and each spring when the dogwoods (how appropriate) bloom you will remember Salsa and Cuervo fondly.

These are my 4th & 5th * Brother/Sister * Cici and Pico * I got them less than 48 hours after Cuervo died in May, 2008 * 2 are SO MUCH EASIER to deal with than one.....this was one of my first photos of them in their pen.  They are 2 years old now and still like to sleep in their pen  snuggled together.

Great idea to have joy during such a tough time.  I am very sorry about your loss.   My husband was so distraught when we lost our first dog it took a long time for us to get the next one.  (I don't think I'd be able to wait that long, as I am so attached to Ginger!)

My daughter is still bummed two years later that we didn't bring home one of Ginger's two brothers.

We shall see, maybe next time!

All the bes, Michelle

Thank you * Cuervo died 2 years ago and Salsa died 12 years ago....I just had not thought of how to "remember" them until we took an old tree down.

Wallace - always a great way to remember and honor a lost pet and family member. Although when I lost Kismet I buried her underneath a shady tree.

Mike * I was "dogless" for less than 48 hours before I got these guys. I sorry I did not have my first springer's * Cinco * ashes saved - it does not cost that much more and I like having them in the yard in "tree form".

Wallace - great way to remember them - by planting trees in their honor.

Wallace, what a great tribute to your loved pets.  Cici & Pico are beautiful.  I have my cocker spaniel's ashes still and will remember to do this the next time I plant a tree.
