I've only seen the trailer of the movie "Closing Escrow" and not the whole movie, so I can't say what the movie is like - if you have seen in please provide a thumbs up or down. Here are some some funny lines I caught: "I like to take a submissive posture with my clients." "I am aware that I am your slave, I work for you." "I guess selling a house was a lot more complicated than I thought it would be." Here is the trailer from YouTube: A better version is available on Apple Movie Trailers here: http://www.apple.com/trailers/magnolia/closingescrow/trailer/

My husband and I happened to catch the movie unknowingly right at the beginning and watched it. It was very humorous, especially being in the title/escrow industry, I could definitely relate, however, ironically, the escrow process was never really shown in the movie. It's a docu-comedy (if that's a word) where several questionably stable couples are in search for that auspicously "perfect" home and it follows the realtors that are paired with these 3 different couples in their quest for "the one". The youngest agent paired with a couple that has resorted to leaving dead rabbits at the doorstep of homes they are interested in buying but are asking too much is probably the most unstable. I believe the agents name is "Bob" and his tactics for getting prices lowered are to take a stick or bat to the house and start breaking things. He finally resorts to gasoline in an all out malay with his buyer on the living room floor of the house that ultimately all 3 couples decide is "the one". It's humorous and has a few epiphanies that I'm sure any buyer/seller/realtor can relate to, which ultimately is the realization that buying a house is a little more involved than one would imagine. I enjoyed the movie and was happy in the end that the contract accepted by the seller's of the house everyone wanted went to the most normal couple who come to the realization that they are pregnant and need to now look for a family home instead of a trendy loft. Much to the dismay of their negatively charged eccentric realtor who is quoted as saying "I am aware I am your slave, I work for you" to her clients with raised eyebrows agast that she would say such a thing. Let me know what you think!

Click DVD to visit the MySpace Page for Closing Escrow The Movie! I couldn't believe it when I found them there. I've been talking to them in the myspace inbox. They are trying to get the word out. What a funny movie!
