The FBCWC is right now in desperate need of donations of canned vegetables and canned fruit. The primary items they are trying to collect are green beans, green peas, corn, carrots, spinach and other leafy canned vegetables. All canned donations of things such as ravioli, shaghettios, tomato paste and cranberry sauce are appreciated but the Shelter really needs canned healthy vegetables. The requested donations feed the Shelter's residents( many are children under 12). The Shelter uses two industrial-sized ( 96 oz) cans or 26 regular-sized cans ( 6 oz.) per each type of vegetable for each day's lunch and dinner. The Shelter serves its residents breakfast, lunch, dinner and two snacks each and every day.
