Aid Sudan RAD10 Campaign Houston TX | Supported by Jeremy Williams of Keller Williams Memorial Houston TX
By: Jeremy Williams, Assistant Team Leader, Keller Williams Memorial Houston TX
My wife and I recently made the decision to support the RAD10 Campaign with Aid Sudan. Aid Sudan was founded in 2000 as an inter-denominational, non-profit orgainization serving the southern Sudanese in several targeted locations in Sudan and through U.S. offices in Houston and Dallas, Texas.
The RAD10 Campaign raises funding to purchase solar-powered, fix-tuned radios to distribute to the southern Sudanese population. The radio is fix-tuned to the Aid Sudan's Radio Station Project and broadcasts Chronological Bible Stories, Sudanese news, and community and health development training. The radios are a powerful way to communicate with a population that has a literacy rate of less than 1%.
The cost of each radio is minimal, $20. This cost includes manufacturing, transportation, and distribution to the Sudanese people. Each radio has a life of approximately 12 years in the bush, and each radio can potentially serve up to 10 - 15 people.
