So I was sitting here, thinking...."What is someone responded to me on a comment I left?"  I have left over 500 comments, it's hard to remember where I have left all of those little conversation starters.

So I decided to do what I have done in the past:  Search the Blog Comments for my name (Lexa....I think I'm the only one on here) and see if someone addressed something back to me.

And guess what?  IT'S GONE.  You can no longer search by blog comments.  I know we have all this other nifty stuff, but I really liked that search feature.  *Sniff*

Is it going to come back?  Was it just an oversite?  Please let me know!

You can still search Blogs.  I'm not sure I ever saw a place to search blog comments, specifically.

I don't actually remember that being on here...But that is a fantastic tool that I would love to have because I do the same thing. I'll wonder if someone made a comment to my comment and what if I want to respond or just read it!?!?

Second guessing's always bad...I try to comment right back, but sometimes I get distracted and end up in the same boat you're describing.

Stop me if you know this one... Under "My Home" it shows all the places you have placed comments on.  You can then click on the ones you (hope) got responses from.  You can also click on the notification of new comments right below posting a comment. (Like I'm about to do to see if you know this ;-)

Matthew, I thought about doing that, but I have had people respond to my comments weeks later.  I really don't want to go through all 500 comments to see if I need to look at the comment again :)

Rick and Lorrie, It was on there alright.  Many times you would just see your own comments, but I would scan for someone else's pictures with my name in the comment.

You find some strange stuff about yourself when you search yourself ;)

I just tried doing a search on my name - wouldn't work.  Others came up but not my own - sniff

Hi Lexa. Maybe you should try submitting a request for your search feature to ActiveRain and see what they say. I'd like to know if it's possible, too.

Great Idea Ilyce.

Matthew...I wonder why?  are you really new?

Lorrie, I tried the bookmarks for a while, but again...too confusing ;)  I need simplicity!

Thanks everyone for commenting, I will follow up if I find an answer.  Don't let that stop you from commenting and rating though :)

Lexa I don't think that I knew you could search blog comments.  I usually go back to the points summary from the day before or so to see if there were any comments to comments I left.  I never thought about what if it was older than that.  And besides it takes a LONG time to do it that way.  Maybe they will bring it back so I can get to use it.  :-D

Lexa, I don't know how you feel about checking the 'Notify' button on the comment box.  That could drive you insane though, since everytime someone makes a comment, you get the notification.  The other choice is looking at your Point Summary as Kimberly has suggested.  Good luck!

Yolanda, I get enough e-mail already, I can just imagine the notify button on 500 posts.  But something to think about on the really interesting ones.

I just go to my messages page if I want to see what I commented on.

Lexa - While you can't search it all your comments are in the comments section (lower left hand side) of your home page

Huny (Lexa)...

It went Poof and no one noticed. It's been like that for awhile. I didn't even notice it was missing until I did the same thing as you.

Once every few weeks I check to see who's been talking about TLW. Now I can't do that. That's probably for the best anyway :)

TLW...ROAR!

I just check notify me of new comments on post and I keep up that way.  If not, I go back to the list that shows the comments I've made and check the post that way if it is something I need to track and respond to.  Otherwise it is lost in the space of nowhere, I guess.
