Really who would want to steal a swan?
ORLANDO, Fla. -- Authorities say six swans that disappeared from a downtown Orlando lake have been safely returned, while three others remain missing.
Four of the swans were found at a shelter for exotic animals in Lake Butler, north of Gainesville. One of those is a blind black Australian swan who had lived at Lake Eola for years.
The birds have been quarantined for examination by a veterinarian. Officials say initial evaluations indicate the birds have lost weight and been stressed out.
Two others were returned on Wednesday.
Investigators believe they know where the remaining birds can be found.
No one has been arrested, but police say they have a suspect in the thefts.
