We Start Out Being Friends In Maine But Things Can Go Down Hill Easily.

If Maine real estate agents, brokers, REALTORS were robots, just the property would be pictured, details spelled out with no feeling added.

bar harbor maine man reading

No emotion, no human attention to jazz it up.

Nothing but just the facts and figures added to the marketing.

But because we are human, with experiences, likes and dislikes the transparency of the real estate professional can shine thru.

Like porridge Goldie-locks hemmed and hawed over, sometimes the mix of property, community and agent, broker is just right.

Or sometimes too much of one, not enough of the other one or two.

So, how do we get off on the wrong or right foot as the agent, broker? No opinions expressed?

If someone on the other end is looking for a person that is just like them...right down to liking the Red Sox over the Yankees, differences are bound to spring up. Judgmental people might not want you to be different or share different preferences, viewpoints. Others let you be you. And if you were a politician everything you post would be sanitized, run thru a bland strainer to take off the edges, polish anything considered controversial in the teeniest of ways. Or a big glob, healthy dose of spin added to make sure all the buzz words are packed in there..for votes, to not offend, to ring SEO bells.

So as folks follow up, 25% will like you, 25% can be swayed to like you, 25% are never going to like you and the other 25%..well not sure what happened to those guys and gals. Maine, we are honest, straight forward, a tad out spoken. But you know where you stand with everyone, what is on everybody's mind. Maine, just Maine. Read all about it here.

I'm Maine REALTOR Andrew Mooers

Hey James, the point is if we only send mls images, details with "yes, no, numbers" nothing human in that broadcast. But if we add individual personality to the way we present, to be transparent, human real estate agents, brokers, REALTORS become real not robots presenting the property, area. But more that shines through, the chance of the other end not liking your way of rolling, marketing can happen as the volume of "you" increases.

Andy, only 25% are going to like me? I'm not interested in swaying anyone though... what you see is what yuo get. Perhaps I should be moving to ME?

Andrea,...Dare to be you, let you shine through. What was the Tanya Tucker song about "You can't be a beacon if your light don't shine". Don't think they were singing about a million candle watt deer jacking light but a little of you or me can go along way to winning friends, creating enemies!

Andy, the percentages start at 50%, as some people prefer to work with someone of their own gender then the percentages have to be adjusted after that. So we start off at 50% don't want to work with us, after that your working on almost 16% for each of 3 categories swayed, maybe or everything else. When those figures are accepted, then we just must be ourselves and do the best we can and not worry about the people that never realized the opportunity they lost.

Ed..boils down to you connect with some, others you don't. But if the listing is promoted fully, the service is full tilt, the community showcased in blog posts, videos, etc...maybe the agent, broker, REALTOR has less of a role. Do the little red hen work behind the scenes with more property, community and less agent, broker, guy or gal wearing the "R".

That is partially why I like the idea of a team. I'm building a team of agents that have different personalities and like and dislikes, this way if one person doesn't get along with one agent, they may find their best friend in the next on the team. I want my agents to be human and not robots.

Being what a buyer, seller, other brokers and your family want, expect. The broker, agent, REALTOR on line should be the same guy or gal off line.

Andrew, A thought provoking post!  I like straight forward!  Blogging helps get our personalities out to the folks...it makes us more human to them.  Enjoyed it!
