What is new in Northridge? How about the new fire station  # 87. I have been living in the Northridge area for over 34 years. For as long as I have been here Fire station # 87 Has been located at the same Location.

The current one is a real small fire house. For the past 18+ months the city has been Building the new home of fire station # 87 less than a block away, and across the street. I have been trying to get information on this new Fire station. However I have been unsuccessful in finding out when this new Fire station will open. It is at least 3 times bigger than the old one. From what I can see it is going to have more fire engines, and ambulances, and a training center in back. As soon as they open up, and have an open house I am going to find out more to share with everyone, and take pictures.

Until then remember that there is 3 fire stations in the Northridge area to serve you
