New listing remodeled Bellecrest home $469,950

There really are affordable homes in Bellevue.  Some day the NWMLS is going to recognize Bellecrest in their listing input as a neighborhood, but until then homes listed there are closely identified with Enatai or Beaux Arts, a little further south, or Surrey Downs, alongside 112th Ave. NE and flanking just east of Bellecrest.  Because it is so close to Downtown Bellevue, sometimes they are identified as being in Downtown.

The best way to describe how Bellecrest is defined geographically, is to trace the corridor of 108th Ave. SE from Main Street to where it joins Bellevue Way SE at the local Chevron station.  Those homes that adjoin this 25 mph street, and those immediately surrounding Bellevue High School just south and east are included in this neighborhood of 185 households.

Bellevue High School is a huge draw for this and other Bellevue neighborhoods, as Realtors and parents of high school students know.  Bellecrest is walking distance to Bellevue High School, and home of the Wolverines, the football team that has been exceedingly dominant in the Kingco conference 3A division this past decade.  Their football program is rigorous and has produced many scholarship athletes over the years.

Bellevue High Wolverines Football The City of Bellevue knows about Bellecrest, Residents of Bellecrest have filled council chambers a few times over neighborhood issues, such as Sound Transit corridor alignments.  Eastside residents who don't know Bellecrest are still catching up to it, since it was only about 4 years ago residents actually named it. The board is active and meets monthly, making sure to protect the interests of the neighborhood and promote safety, and connectedness.

The best way to describe the lifestyle offered there is convenient and affordable, with neighbors who know each other.  The home listing pictured above is fairly typical of the mid-century older homes is currently for sale in Bellecrest.  This is a neighborhood where you can find homes starting at $350,000 every once in a while, all the way up to a $million.

The listing above features a walk-though open house tour filmed in mid-December.  The home is offered at $449,950 and represents the lowest priced single family home right now in West Bellevue.

The author and listing agent of this home is a Seattle native, having made his home on the Eastside of Seattle for the last 40 years.
