You heard me...15 seconds...hurry up...tell me what you do in 15 seconds! 

I am thinking of selling my house...why should I choose you?  Hurry, tell me...you've only got 15 seconds!

This is called an elevator speech...you're in an elevator, just going up a floor or two and the guy next to you says, "So what do you do?"  You've got to give him a memorable answer before he reaches his floor...you've only got 15 seconds...could you do it?!?  In 15 seconds?  I know I couldn't.  At least, not until I found this resource...I would search for the perfect words as effectively as if I were searching for the perfect pebble on a grainy beach...

15SecondPitch.com  - This is a free online generator that will help you develop your 15 second sales / elevator pitch.  I tried it recently...and thought it was pretty good...tell me what you think:

Hi Christine

What I am about to give you is opinion - ultimately if your speech is getting great attention when you give it that is all that matters. Here are my thoughts, I hope they help!

Focus on the pain you take away from your clients. Also get to the "who you serve" faster. I like the 15 second generator but I disagree that you need the "What we do" part. That often serves to confuse - for example if they don't know what seo means, or are confused when they here "Value based Real Estate Support Services" their attention will wander.

The more you can get the focus on your target audience and their pain points the better. For example:

My name is Christine Wade from eRealty Assistant. I help busy real estate professionals who are frustrated that the day to day tasks of running the office interfere with their ability to sell real estate.  I take away the annoyance of those admin and marketing taks so you can focus on what you love to do. Contact me today to allow me to sell YOU on my services!"

Renee - you are brave...I NEED BNI, but certainly don't have the guts to do it! LOL (or the schedule...they always seem to meet so early...when I am trying to get kids off to school...)  I have heard of people having really good results from their membership though.  Hope you sharing the generator helps someone in your group :-)

Alex, hope it comes up with something fabulous for you!  As a real estate virtual assistant, it's hard to explain what we do to people who aren't online much and aren't familiar with the concept...and it's one area where I have always tripped over my own tongue! LOL  I can explain it well on my website because I have time and can think about the best way to phrase it, etc...but stick me in front of someone and have them ask me what I do...you might as well just push a panic button!  :-)  Thanks for commenting!
