If It Doesn't Look Right, It Probably Isn't...
Oye, Veh! Handymen! They do some stuff that makes you want to scratch your head with an orbital sander.
Okay, so there are some folks that have a bad case of mental constipation. Like they can't have brains AND good looks, can they? Some must contemplate for hours on ways to "figger out" ways to do stuff that defies all logic and take us to the extreme realms of fantasy. Is is real or am I just delusional?
This ingenious way of installing two dryer vent hoses is so-o-o-o wrong on s-o-o-o many levels, I really don't know where to start. And no, I did not photoshop this! I could not even conceive of such a menagerie. <sigh>
Needless to say, I see a qualified vent installer in my crystal ball, how about you...

OK, that is definitely an Oy Vey patch job! Oh, the things we see in this business!
Michael

Good luck and success.

The guys with the hats must be wearing white hats.. you were far too kind on this one. :)
I love the homeowners who do repairs such as these.....they keep my contractor friends in business!
Good evening Michael,
This definitely is a poor patch job!! I agree with Judi, you may have been too kind on this one!
Michael, don't you see the logic in all of this? With all that tin foil and back draft they are safe from alien invaders.
Anything to save...Short cut...Temporary fix...
Hire a professional to do the job.
It looks more like a spider than anything else. Interesting design concept....Yikes!
I've seen this exact set up in a duplex here. The results are that neither dryer vents out, they just vent into the other unit. In the case I saw it created a horrendous mold problem.
What a sight to find under the house! It looks like something Curly from the Three Stooges would have created.
all you need is the picture on this blog..lol, kind of scary and definitely a fire hazard.
