Is this your brochure? I like it!

I send one out too. When I get the next one done I'll post it. Someone suggested I put a couple of blogs I did on it....I may do that!

I hope you do.  I love reading other people's stuff!  So promise you will.

Direct mail and yard signs have kept me in business for years.  Of course, I've blown thousands upon thousands of dollars in Yellow Pages, newspapers, and every other useless bit of marketing silliness so the public would think I was keeping up with my competition.

Bill,

Can you see my smile?  It is for your line " I've blown thousands upon thousands of dollars in Yellow Pages, newspapers, and every other useless bit of marketing silliness so the public would think I was keeping up with my competition.

I love this......and I liked your newsletter....is it a virtual one, or one you mail?  Mine is 8 pages for the web, and 6 for mailing....a lot of work :)

Miss Kathy --

I totally wrote my own newsletter for at least twenty years, maybe longer.  There was a publication when I started that business people took called "The Kiplinger Letter."  I modeled mine after theirs.  Well awhile back I decided I would buy a prewritten newsletter and add one page of my own.  The first one I tried was four pages long, so that when I added my page plus a business card, it cost me a second stamp.

I recently found the one you see up there.  It cost me just under $30 a month for a .pdf that I send directly to my printer, Eric.  They also send me a file that's for email.  The one I sent out by snail mail I include with it the page I write.  I think it works really well.  If you're interested in this pre-written one, contact Bernadeta@YellowHousePublishing.com.  She tells me that they will design a personalized masthead for me for a one time fee of about 50 bucks.  I'm thinking about doing that.

All I know is that newsletters work almost no matter how bad the mailing list, and they work really good if you pay attention to continually qualifying and updating your list.  I haven't found anything to support that they have to be long and clever.

Thanks for your note and for liking this one.
