Westerville Ohio   a Columbus, Ohio suburb is described in a  Real Living story video:   "Westerville has many historical homes and an abundance of specialty shops and other attractions."

And if that is not enough video watching the Westerville website has more:

"We encourage you to check out one or all of our four city videos in the "Discover Westerville" section to see our community in living color."

To me the biggest differences between Westerville and Columbus other suburbs are:

1. Size - Westerville is big and diverse in comparison to other Columbus suburbs.  Parts of Westerville are in Franklin County and parts are in Delaware County.  Westerville is still growing from the neighborhoods in the north to the office space in the Westar area.

2.  Hoover Reservoir - Westerville has boating and fishing and just gazing at the water.

Neighborhoods, The City of Westerville website says:

"The Uptown District, with its historic shopping district, bed and breakfasts, and homes dating back to the 19th century, is a sort of 21st century Mayberry.  Located next to Otterbein College, Uptown Westerville was the center of town when Westerville was founded in 1858, and it remains the heart of our city today."

Westerville has a diversity of neighborhoods in price, age, size of homes and styles.  From historic homes in the Westerville Uptown historic area to 1960's ranches, condominiums, Annehurst on the west edge of Westerville, homes on and near Hoover Reservoir  to the new neighborhoods on the north end of the city there is something for everyone.

The City of Westerville website says of the Westerville Community Center:

Westerville Community Center"The Westerville Community Center opened in November 2001 and is situated on 25 acres of gently rolling green space accented by a 2 acre pond. Convenient from anywhere in the Westerville area, the Community Center is located near steadily growing business developments, I-71 and the major intersection of Polaris Parkway and Cleveland Avenue. The Community Center offers residents and visitors alike easy access to year-round recreational and leisure opportunities."

Westerville shopping areas include Pointe at Polaris, Northridge Crossing, Shoppes at Westar I and II, Parkview Center,  Windsor Bay, Westerview Plaza, Hanby Square, Cherri Park Square,  Westerville Center,   Westerville Square,  West Park Plaza and the incomparable Uptown Westerville Business District with over 70 shops and restaurants.  In addition Westerville is convenient to both Polaris Fashion Mall and Easton.
