Interstate I-95 The major north/south route in the eastern US, it dissects the eastern section of Springfield. It enables residents to travel north to Maryland and beyond as well as south to employment centers in Prince William County and beyond.
Interstate I-395 Starting at the Capital Beltway where I-95 turns northward, this road continues on in for access to the Pentagon, Crystal City, Arlington and Washington, D.C.
Interstate I-495 The Capital Beltway is approximately 60 miles long and circumvents Washington, D.C. It is at the northern end of Springfield and facilitates residents commute to Tysons Corner and Olde Town Alexandria.
Fairfax County Parkway (Route 7100) A limited access road, it borders Springfiled at the south and provides residents with a westerly route to Fair Lakes, Reston and Herndon.
Metrorail The closest metro station is Franconia-Springfield on the Blue Line. There is bus service to it as well as bus service to other Metro Stations
Metrobus There are several routes in Springfield offering express service inbound to the Pentagon.
Virginia Railway Express (VRE) This commuting rail line has two stations in the Springfield area. The Fredericksburg Line station is at Franconia- Springfield next to the Metrorail station. The Manassas lins station is at Rolling Road and Burke Road. Both lines go to Union Station in Washington, D.C.
Fairfax Connector. Bus service provided by Fairfax County with frequent service to Metrorail stations
