The Haunting on Connecticut. The Season of Spirits.
You'll find it all here in Southington Connecticut!
There is a home right here in Southington that was the inspiration for the movie, The Haunting of Connecticut. The presence of demons in a house that was a mortuary years ago, has been the subject of books, documentaries and movies. (Go here to learn more about the history of this house.)
There has been much debate over whether the events of this "true" story actually took place. While no one really knows for sure - it's sure fun to talk about ESPECIALLY this time of year! I'm sure it will be discussed on Thursday night at another great program that is being offered at the Southington Public Library ....
The “Season of Spirits” program will be presented by The Connecticut Paranormal Encounter and Research Group (CPEAR) on October 28, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. Registration is required. What better way to get into the "Halloween Spirit"!
Based in Southington, CPEAR has traveled all over the country searching for and recording evidence of paranormal activity. They have investigated a variety of local residences and historic locations and will be sharing their stories of the mysterious world of the Paranormal.
Interested in learning more about disembodied spirits and other things that science can't explain? Then you'll enjoy meeting the investigators from CPEAR. They'll be sharing the equipment they use in their investigations as well as their findings. The program is free, but requires registration due to limited seating. Go here to register or call 860-628-0947 x 5
The event will take place at the Southington Public Library 255 Main Street in Southington Connecticut.
