Manassas is a city with a history of military involvement dating back to the Civil War and is home to the National Park set aside to commemorate the two Manassas battles.
It is also home to many defense contractors involved in some of the leading edge defense technology for our country. The inaugural annual Veterans Day Parade in 2009 honored World War II veterans as Grand Marshals
2010 is the 60th anniversary of the start of the Korean War.
