"Best" MLS photos of the week - Mystery Edition

The local Multiple Listing Service (MLS) I am member of allows for only 16 photos and I make sure I take the BEST photos I can to give my seller the BEST exposure for their listing... Obviously not all agents feel the same way. Thank you for helping me solve these mysteries! Enjoy the photos!!!


1. What is behind the white sheet?

 

2. Does a body fit in there?

 

3. I wonder if he has gotten very far...

 

4. What happened to the owner of those shoes???

 

5. Does the Bob Cat come alive at night?

 

6. Is her outfit made out of the same fabric as the couch?

 

The photos above are what agents in the South Florida market thought would sell their listings. Unfortunately the agent's thoughts were not correct - all the photos were found on MLS listings that did not sell (expired listings).

I suspect the sellers of these homes have no idea that their homes were presented to public this way.

Hey, let's get a new disclosure - agent must provide printout of MLS listing to seller clients, and have them sign off receipt of same. That would encourange some people to try a little harder.

Great real estate photos are a must, these houses aren't flying off the market.  If the sellers aren't ready for a photo shoot, just stick with one good shot of the exterior.

Thanks for putting those up, I'll have to wait for the next round.

Do you think these agents are using these photos in their listing presentations.  Professional photographer, no!!! Amateur photographer...not even close! Photos that will make sure no one even thinks of purchasing your home...most definitely...and that's what I can bring to the table for my x percent fee.

Isn't it amazing?  We are supposed to be professionals who the public relies on to use care and diligence to sell their homes.  Is it so hard to put a little bit of thought process into the photos we take to market those homes?

I received an email today from the manager of a fairly local office of a MAJOR international real estate brokerage (no, I won't say which one) with a link to one of their local offices.  The home page had a link to their "Office Video."  Not only was the video of amateurish quality with poor lighting and poor shots, but there was actually a look at the office bathroom, complete with--you guessed it--toilet seat way up, gentleman style.

If a brokerage isn't able to market their own office very well, how well will they do for a client's home?

Mark -  I help the seller get motivated on their own but if they don't I kindly ask for permission and 2 of us clear out all the stuff, take the photos we want and put it all back. :)

Margaret - I really couldn't... these are so bizarre....

Jonathan - Can you just imagine going to a listing presentation with photos like these? The sellers would shut the door in the agent's face... so why would an agent post these after getting the listing?

Marie - I think just like you... my office is professional, my website is professional, etc..

Marisa - Tell me.. how can lazy can one be? Wait... you just did!

I am surprised some of these have not ended up on David Letterman! As for who is behind the sheet, my vote is the seller! They are clearly in the dark about what their agent did do to market their home.
