Glen Burnie and Anne Arundel County, Maryland - Market Update for the Week Ending October 16, 2010

There are fewer new listings every day as the fall moves along, to look for open houses in the Glen Burnie or Anne Arundel County area check them out on  http://www.advancerealtyaa.com/openhouse The Anne Arundel County real estate market remains strong is seeing an increase in the number of homes going under contract and sold.  There are fewer foreclosed homes this week than last.   Additionally, the number of days on the market is getting shorter.  There has been a significant increase in the number of foreclosed homes on the market this week.  Interest rates are still the lowest they've been in decades, however, there are rumors that the rates will be going up soon.  The number of new listings has stabilized and the number of sales has dropped slightly following the end of the tax credit.  Certainly the number of inquiries has dropped off and the number of calls to our office has slowed.    Overall, there has never been a better time to buy a home, than right now.  Even though the tax credit time is over for most buyers, there is still time for some qualifying military buyers.  There are also some great home buyer assistance programs for first time home buyers to purchase a home in Glen Burnie and in the rest of Maryland.  If home buyers want to buy a home, there are ways for them to do so.

These figures are taken directly from our MRIS system and are believed to be accurate.

Roy, thanks for the reblog.  The interest rates are low but it looks like they are on their way back up, now is a great time to buy.
