What is Google?

Hey I got you to look, You must be saying who is this person that doesn't know what google is.

I am amaze at how quickly google is indexing webpages now , I recently had a blog post that was index in 16 mins. I remember when you were lucky enough if google indexed your site within months. This is good for the consumer as they will have the most current information available out there and keeps webmasters on their toes to put out new and fresh content.

Dan - I love how fast these pages are indexed.  I showed one of the agents who works for me this the other day (he is also a member here).  We made a page for his neighborhood, and it was #1 on Google before he left the office!  Amazing!

The world wide web has come a long way.  Google is so fast.  I still am a Yahoo nut, but they do not index so fast.

Hi Dan,

When you say that Google indexes your site very quickly, are you typing in any specific keywords? Perhaps with your name in it? I have been struggling with this issue for over a year now and find it increasingly more difficult to get indexed on Google. My PageRank for instance isn't even a 1! So, what are you typing in that makes you think it's so quick?

Thanks!

P.S.>  I just checked www.prchecker.info and saw that you currently have a PageRank of 3 which is not too shabby!

Dan - I had noticed the same thing recently. It is amazing how quick things get posted.

Keith - Not sure if you will get the same answer from Dan but I have seen my actual blog post show up on google that quickly. So it is not typing your name.

Keith,     Well the quick indexing is mostly on the blogs here on active rain and rew blogs. My main site does not get indexed that quickly probably more like once a week. As Far as your page rank you probably do have a at least  a page rank of 1 if you are going by the google toolbar or other tools that check pagerank it is not really accurate. thats why the call it the goole foolbar. Just keep working on obtaining links and don't worry about your pagerank it will come eventually. The best advice I ever took was to build your site for the consumer and not the search engines. Content is still king :)
