The Severna Park Schools are the reason that the majority of people move into the Severna Park area. I am often contacted by families moving into the area because of the ratings of the school system. www.Greatschools.org rate the Severna Park schools system 10 out of 10. So this is no surprise.
My husband and I have raised three boys in this area, the last one is to graduate this year, and I have no complaints. Severna Park MD is a small bedroom community outside of Annapolis Maryland. Located along the eastern shore of the Severn River, Severna Park residents treasure the river for its excellent crabbing, fishing & boating (especially sail boating).
According to a 2007 estimate, the median income for a household in Severna Park was $106,983, and the median income for a family was $116,246. Males had a median income of $70,742 versus $45,061 for females. The per captia income was $40,985. About 0.6% of families and 1.2% of the population were below the poverty line, including 0.4% of those under age 18 and 3.0% of those age 65 or over.
