Promote Your Service "Organization"

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Executives

REALTORS have a long history of community service.  However, too frequently, we don't put forth an effort to promote the organization we serve as much as we could.  Obviously, we will assist the organization if we include the organization in our personal promotion.

Arthur and I are both Rotarians.  We belong to different clubs in order to broaden our community service.  I am a member of the Rotary Club of West Springfield and Arthur is a member of the Rotary Club of Lake Ridge.

Both our vehicle tags, my stationery, my primary website and my AR site have the Rotary International logo

It has no bearing on my professional promotion and is not intended to have an effect.  If the organization has an identifying logo you contribute further to it by including it in your promotional material in a "quiet way"  For example, I know a home inspector who supports Habitat for Humanity - the name is on his literature and vehicle signage.

Great idea.  I'm a Toastmaster member and love to invite people to our meetings.  It's a value-added service, in my opinion, to introduce people to "good" groups that might not be directly linked to making a sale or earning a commission.

It is important that people see you involved in the community.  Most of the best agents I know are actively volunteering.

Hi Karen, also just talking about your organization in a casual way helps.  And just think how often you have to "ask" someone in your everyday real estate business until they are ready, it works the same way when promoting Rotary or any other civic group.

I agree - sometimes I wish real estate was as easy as Rotary
