Endre ... Your probably right that there is significant risk for buyers of expensive homes at trustee sale auctions in California.  The markets in Irvine and Orange County for homes $2 million and above don't have lots of comps, not enough qualified buyers, and are volatile.  Buyers at trustee sale auctions must be very careful, hire smart and experienced people and spend time and money on due diligence.
