City Council Actions regarding Edgewood real estate development

By

Last Tuesday the Edgewood City Council agreed that the Edgewood Planning Commission should review land use along the new City Center portion of the Meridian corridor.  The Council's concern isthere is more proposed residential development occurring where some commercial uses were envisioned and desired.

I expect this to be added to the Planning Commission's agenda and invite interested parties to attend and comment at any future meeting.  The City Council and Planning Commission meeting schedules are available to the public at http://www.ci.edgewood.wa.us/

Additionally, a change to the land use map is currently under consideration that will eventually allow commercial development along Edgewood's eastern boundary at West Valley Hwy/Hwy 167.

I'm glad to see the possibility of commercial business along Hwy 167.  There's already a lot there across the road in Sumner.
