Red sky at morning, sailors (and others) take warning

Red dawn

I had been working away on a CMA (still suffering from jet lag) since 6:00, when I happened to glance out the window and see the red hues of the dawn. By the time I grabbed my camera and dashed outside, some of the red had faded away, but it was still an unusual color. Sure enough, a cold front later blew into San Antonio, so the old sailor's rhyme still heralds a change in the weather.

Hi Robin,

Beautiful shot and that's a saying I've not heard for years.

I really like dawn and dusk, when shades of red, orange and purple fill the sky. Nice shot, Robin!

I see my friend Robin has been busy again with her favorite camera catching those great early morning shots. You know we always enjoy your photo's and keep'em coming.

Hi Robin

Dawn is so much hader to capture than dusk with a camera. Nice shot!

Thanks, everybody!

I keep an eye out the windows in the morning when I boot up my computer and rustle up my coffee. Sometimes I catch sight of a dramatically colored sky or interesting cloud formations, and then I rush outside with my camera. Actually, I take both cameras, since one does better in low light. Then I shoot six to ten photos, and pick the best one.
