2010 Redding Turkey Trot
Thanksgiving Day November 25th, 2010
Redding's 25th annual Turkey Trot is almost here. Sponsored by Shasta Regional Medical Center; this years Thanksgiving Tradition will offer fun for the whole family. In honor of the 25th anniversary, SMRC has special events planned throughout the month of November. Every year the events gets bigger and better. This year should be no exception.
The Run starts at Lake Redding Park, off Benton Drive, and will take place on the River Trail.
You can Register to participate in:
- Six Mile Run (prizes will be awarded in 5 year age increments)
- 2 mile walk/run (Finishers will receive a participation ribbon)
- Diestlehorst Dash: (Kids 8 and Younger) A special treat will be given to each child who participates.
The 2009 Turkey Trot brought out nearly 5000 participants for the event and raised more than $30,000 for local charities. The proceeds from the 2010 Turkey Trot will benefit Shasta Family YMCA, Girls on the Run and SWEAT Running Club.

7:45 a.m. Opening Ceremonies –
8:00 a.m. Diestlehorst Dash – on bridge
8:25 a.m. Wheelchair Race 6 Mile Race
8:30 a.m. 6 Mile Run – Will meet on the East Side of Court Street
8:45 a.m. 2 Mile Fun Run/Walk – Will meet on Street
Things you should know:
There is no Race Day Registration, so be sure to register early.
Entry Fees are $15.00 with no sweatshirt and $35.00 if you want a sweatshirt
To guarantee a sweatshirt entries must be received by November 12.
