Ghouls and Goblins to Invade Gladstone Boulevard October 31 from 5-8. Beware of “creatures of the night” haunting the Historic Scarritt Renaissance Neighborhood and The Kansas City Museum on All Hallows’ Eve during the 17th annual Halloween in Historic Northeast. The Scarritt Renaissance Neighborhood Association and the Museum will team up to satisfy the taste buds of the spooky ghosts and goblins from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 31 or until the candy runs out! The Museum and neighborhood “safe houses” along Gladstone Boulevard will be open for trick-or-treating. Museum staff will be located at the South Gate handing out tasty Halloween treats. Many of the homes will be transformed into eerily decorated “haunted houses,” and the neighborhood will have costumed entertainers “skulking around.” There will also be a live chalk art demonstration, a balloon artist, face painting, juggling, inflatables and so much more, all for free! The Museum will also host its second annual “Princess Costume Contest” at the southeast corner of the Museum. With an entry fee of only entrants’ mailing and e-mail addresses, princesses, with their parent’s permission, will be photographed in their beautiful princess costumes.
