Babes in Toyland-Marion Christmas Parade on December 2, 2010 in Marion, Ar
The annual Marion Christmas Parade is coming! It will be here on December 2, 2010 from 6:30 to 8:00 pm., starting from Marion Shopping Center, Block Street to Military Road over the railroad track and ending at the Courthouse Square.
The theme of this year is Babes in Toyland, how cute is that? I can already see the pretty lighted floats, cars, maybe even horses strolling along the way. It is so easy to enter the parade, you can walk, it can be marching bands, singing groups, bring your horse if you have one, trailers no longer than 16 feet, ATV, and car, of course, but only passenger vehicles. Just remember the deadline to put an entry is November 19, 2010.
There are plenty of activities going on at the Parade, like picture taking with Santa in the gazebo, there are choirs and bands at the court house steps, the music was wonderful last year. Don't forget the Christmas Trees display at the Enchanted Forest. Different vendors will also be there, some are selling hot chocolate which you will so appreciate on a cold evening watching the Parade.
