Join the more than 1,000 runners in the 6-mile run and 2-mile run/walk along the Sacramento River Trail.
What's different this year? According to Shasta Regional, this year to mark the 26th anniversary, certain activities and events have been planned to bring excitement and build momentum up until the event day!
With just a few weeks away, it's important you get your registrations in right away.

In person: November 23, 2011
Turkey Trot consists of a 6 Mile Run and a 2 Mile Fun walk/run for people who just want to enjoy the event. In addition, right before the Trot starts, children ages eight and under may participate in the free Diestelhorst Dash. At 7:45am, children will need to be ready and lined up on the south side of the bridge while parents wait on the other side.
Whether you are a serious runner or just want to get out with the children and enjoy a comfortable walk, this walk/run is for everyone from a child on a stroller, seriously competitive runners to grandparents who simply want to get out and be part of the event.

7:45 a.m. Opening Ceremonies
8:00 a.m. Diestelhorst Dash – on bridge
8:25 a.m. Wheelchair Race 6 Mile Race
8:30 a.m. 6 Mile Run – Will meet on the East Side of Court Street
8:45 a.m. 2 Mile Fun Run/Walk – Will meet on Carnelian Way and Elk Drive

Children's Diestlehorst Dash (8 years and younger) is FREE
Want that Turkey Trot Sweatshirt? Youth is $15 and Adult's are $20
To guarantee a sweatshirt for your “Diestelhorst Dasher” you must pay in advance for your sweatshirt in person at Shasta Regional Medical Center or Shasta Family YMCA before Nov. 11, 2011.
