It took a lot of activism to discover these important sites. I hope you will peruse them for answers to important current issues!
If you know of any other non partisan sites, where real issues are addressed, please share them with us!
Thanks, Mirela. I voted today. Getting reliable information in the day of oversaturated media is very tough. You have made some good suggestions.
Mirela - Great visual and list of informative sites. If only the American electorate would spend time studying the issues and candidates, we would have fewer politicians and more leaders.
John: I liked your comment so much, that I Twitted it:
Mirela - Thanks. You might be interested in my new project, imsickofit.org (Hope you don't object to the link, if so just delete)
Some good sources here, Mirela. If only you could get voters to actually study up on the information they provide!
John: Are you kidding me? Delete if I object to the link? Object?
I LOVE THE SITE! Here is a quick quote from it I favored:
On November 3rd the games begin again. We’ll have some new faces, but the POWER-BROKERS, those who are really in charge will immediately begin trying to corrupt those new to office; and those they can’t corrupt, they’ll work to diminish. That’s why we must maintain our vigilance and make our opinions known to our elected officials. This is our country, but we’re losing it rapidly to those who have little concern for either our country or its people; and it will take years of hard work and involvement to change that.
If meaningful change requires sending politicians home every election cycle, we must do so. Whatever happens in November will make little difference, and the coming election is hardly cause for celebration. Rather it is but a small first step in changing the political structure and corruption in Washington. It’s up to us to keep the pressure on our politicians and constantly work to raise the bar for election to public office. Yes, this is our country, but it won’t remain so unless we demonstrate our willingness to do whatever it takes to keep it.
John: I just quoted your site in two Facebook groups I help run:
"Small People" Against Big Governement
Mirela - Thanks! The new site is just in its infancy; I have lots more material to add.
