When Sue and I first saw Mel Brooks version of "Young Frankenstein" we laughed so hard that we both peed our pants. And that was back in 1974!
As a family tradition, we always watch the DVD on, or around Halloween. The entire family takes on roles and we all - pretty much - know the words by heart.
After watching the movie again tonight for about the 50th time, I suddenly noticed that when Cloris Leachman (Frau Blucher (neeee)) takes Gene Wilder and Teri Garr down the stair case for the first time and says "watch out for the candles", that the candles weren't lit!
I couldn't get over the fact that I had missed that slapstick after all these years. My wife couldn't believe it either.
Moral? No matter how many times you look at your situation(s) in life, one more look never hurts.
