Don't Friend Me and then Spam Me!
This one definitely deserves a re blog. These (insert appropriate name here) are multiplying all over our sites, just bombarding us with crap. They are peddling pure junk, if one takes the time to analyze their offerings.
This will certainly keep my list of new "friends" to a minimum, sadly.
Just because I friended you on Facebook doesn't mean you can spam me! Am I the only one who finds it annoying that other agents and real estate industry people are friending you only to send you all their multiple of messages a day about their next webinar or their next product or their next website they can build you, etc...?
Why do I friend other real estate related people in the first place? To network and make sure they know I'm there in case they have someone they know in Austin or moving to the Austin area. I want to make sure I'm their first thought for Austin...
However, in the next week or so, I'm going to start defriending you people who constantly post about stuff that is meaningless to me. Don't "invite" me to your events when you're 3000 miles away. Don't "invite" me to your infomercials trying to sell me stuff!
I don't mind if you post business stuff every so often, as I definitely let people know when I'm showing properties or closed on a house or something like that, but I don't send "invites" to people across the country when I'm teaching one of my classes. If you must, then "like" my business page and do it there, but not on my personal page.
My clicker is gearing up for the defriend button and so be it if I lose some networking "friends".**Are You Packed Yet?**
